Faction pack purchase

I just want to rant for a moment. Today trying to level up Phoenix squad characters I did something I never do. I purchased crystals to by character packs. Now I fully understand that it truly is a gamble on what you get, but to buy three packs today and on all three get the same 12 shards for the same character each time is infuriating. I understand there are no guarantees but it is disappointing just the same. A little more randomness would be better than three of the same that are easily farmed in the game.
