Fan rework: IG-86 Sentinel Droid
Note: Made a year ago (before IG-90, AVDD, Rotta, and B1 Merc Droid). Mentioned Conquest unit is not Embo & Keibu
IG-86 Sentinel Droid is getting a rework, making him deadlier and more unpredictable with Bounty Hunters, Droids, Hutt Cartel, and Scoundrels alike! A day 1 character, IG-86 Sentinel Droid never really got much of a chance to shine. Though they put up a good fight against Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, and were used by Cad Bane when holding a group of senators hostage, these unique droids’ talents didn’t get translated ingame. As the years passed, there were always better options in Droid teams instead of him, and even when Aphra arrived he got benched in favour of other Dark Side Droids, who had far more utility than he ever did. After nearly 10 years in the dark, IG-86 will prove its assassination skills aren’t something to be underestimated.
Inspired by his appearances in The Clone Wars movie and The Clone Wars series (especially in the episode Downfall of a Droid), IG-86’s rework makes him a dangerous asset for Bounty Hunters, Droids, Hutt Cartel, and Scoundrels, giving him the Hutt Cartel and Scoundrel tags to let him operate more efficiently. His abilities are enhanced to maximize damage output under the right conditions and his new second Special ability has the potential to do tons of damage, being particularly deadly against Galactic Republic Jedi (Clone Wars!). In addition, IG-86 grants Droid allies Spare Parts (Clone Wars movie!), keeps it on other Droids until he is defeated, and bolsters their defence as the fight drags on, with bonuses when Droids revive and when he dies. He also feeds Turn Meter to the team, assists on non-attacking Special abilities and IG-88’s abilities, and whittles away at the enemy team’s Protection while bolstering his own team’s Protection. With a full Droid team, Droideka and STAP can join the fun by enabling their Unique abilities as if all allies were Separatist Droids, but their Omicrons stay disabled (keeping Grievous’ team at their power levels in both gamemodes and letting you run whichever Separatist Droid is left behind with IG-86’s Droids).
IG-86 Sentinel Droid’s rework allows him go on a variety of existing teams as a deadly Attacker: from Boushh-led Hutt Cartel and a variety of Scoundrel teams, to 50R-T Droids or Dark Side Droids, as well as with BFSOJ’s and Aphra’s teams - but he is ultimately intended to stay with the next Conquest unit as part of the core trio alongside Aurra Sing. Stay tuned for more details!

If the ally is Hutt Cartel, both attacks have +75% Offence. If all allies are Droids or Scoundrels, call all Bounty Hunter and Droid allies to assist with these bonuses. If IG-88 is present, he gains +75% Critical Damage and Offence (stacking) until the next time he uses Rapid Fire.
SPECIAL 2: Unpredictable Acrobatics (CD: 5)
New Final Text: Deal Special damage 3 times to random enemies. For each Bounty Hunter ally, each Droid ally, and each Scoundrel ally, deal another instance of Special damage to a random enemy and inflict them with Pinned and Target Lock for 2 turns (limited once per enemy). These effects can’t be evaded or resisted, and if any Galactic Republic Jedi enemies are active these effects can’t be copied or dispelled. This attack can’t be countered.
If the ally in the Leader slot is Bounty Hunter, Droid, or Scoundrel, this attack deals +10% more damage for each Bounty Hunter, Droid, and Scoundrel ally, can’t be evaded, and ignores Protection against Galactic Republic Jedi enemies. If the allied Leader is a non-Droid Scoundrel, Stealth them for 2 turns and all allies gain Defence Up for 2 turns. These buffs can’t be dispelled.
UNIQUE 1: Droid Squad Tactics
Old Final Text: IG-86 gains 4.5% Critical Chance for each Droid ally. In addition, he has +20% Critical Damage.
New Final Text: IG-86 Sentinel Droid gains 4.5% Critical Chance for each Droid ally and 4.5% Offense for each Scoundrel ally. In addition, he has +20% Critical Damage. Other Bounty Hunter and Droid allies gain half these bonuses. IG-88 instead gains double these bonuses. All Droid and Scoundrel allies are immune to Turn Meter reduction. Whenever a Droid or Scoundrel ally uses a Special ability that isn’t an attack or IG-88 uses any ability, IG-86 Sentinel Droid assists (limit once per turn). IG-86’s attacks can’t be evaded.
Whenever a Droid ally uses an ability, all enemies lose 0.5% Max Protection (stacking) for each Droid ally for the rest of the battle, and all Droid and Hutt Cartel allies gain 0.5% Max Protection (stacking) for each Droid ally for the rest of the battle. These effects are doubled on critical hits and against Stunned enemies. Droid and Scoundrel allies gain 5% Turn Meter whenever they critically hit any character, doubled for Droid Scoundrel allies. If all allies are Droids, Droideka and STAP’s Unique abilities trigger as if all allies are Separatist Droids (excluding their Omicrons).
UNIQUE 2: Used For Spare Parts
New Final Text: IG-86 Sentinel Droid gains Spare Parts for the rest of the battle, which can’t be copied, dispelled, or prevented. If the ally in the Leader slot is a non-Separatist Droid, while IG-86 has Spare Parts, other Droid allies gain Spare Parts at the start of the battle and whenever another Droid ally is revived. Whenever a Droid ally gains Spare Parts, they gain +8% Offence (stacking) and IG-86 and IG-88 gain +8% Critical Damage (stacking) for the rest of the encounter, which persists after defeat.
Each time another ally is revived, all other Droid, Hutt Cartel, and Scoundrel allies gain +15% Defence Penetration and +15% Potency for the rest of the battle and recover 10% Health and Protection. These bonuses are doubled for the ally in the Leader slot. Each time IG-86 is defeated, all allies instead gain double these bonuses, and the ally in the Leader slot instead gains quintuple these bonuses.
