I'm in what I would consider a normal guild. Doing heroic Pit getting close to trying out heroic Tank while taking a couple days to finish normal Tank.
Pit raid is just too easy for us. We are a have fun guild, doing a 24 hour damage free time just doesn't work as its too hard to get everyone on the same page as guild chat is full of updates and not what we actually type.
So why can't we just make it that everyone who is in the guild at the time the raid ends gets the base rewards even if they didn't have time to get into the event for heroic.
All the guild members were needed for the coins to start the raid, they should get the reward
I know this has been brought up before, but now that 2 or 3 people can clear the thing by themselves it sucks. Time windows, work schedules and time zones make it impossible to do the raid and have fun
First, I totally agree the 0 dmg for first 24 hour thing sucks and takes the fun out of everything.
Second, use a chat app and make it mandatory. We use the 1 attack in the first 24 hour rule. This lets all the heavy hitters attack in phase 1 because its the easiest to rack up the damage, so you end up with minimal ghost damage (raid last longer).
We use a specific channel in Discord just to post Screenshots of our single attack. If your attack damage doest match your screenshot, boot. Lol its that easy.
That is the problem right there. Most people don't want to have to send screenshots on a third party app just to stay in the guild. It shouldn't have to be that complex
The problem is a guild needs to be managed. Until EA/CG offers an alternative, it's on the guild management to offer a solution. This is something that must be done, or just accept the raid being chaos.
I completely agree, it's ridiculous that the player base has to have a third party chat app to communicate properly in guild due to the lack of decent in-game chat.
I'm just saying.. don't get your hopes up on a fix. I'm not vindicating their lack of attention to this problem; however, they probably see this as a non-factor. They put "money" into the development of a simple chat channel, and that's what we got.. a simple chat. From a business perspective, why would you dump more money into something to rival a third party app when you can just save that money? It's not what's good for the consumer, but it saves their bottom line. Sucks, but that's the reality of it.
Don't shoot the messenger lol

This is a really fun to play mobile game, not a job.
Your answer is exactly why I quit playing for like six months. My original guild had a subreddit home, a line chat, and more rules than you can imagine. We were all pretty high level and competitive. 24 hour wait times, then you only get 1 attack per phase, unless you finished 30-50 last raid then you can have 2 in phase 1, but only 1 in phase 2 and only if it between noon and 1:30 pm on a Tuesday. Sounds like a lot of fun right?
And they took screenshots and all that jazz, and every raid out leader would have to yell at people and when I realized that my mobile game calendar was harder to keep in track than my actual 9-5 because of these **** guild rules and restrictions I deleted the app for 5 months.
I'm ranting not because you are wrong, but because you are right, you need to do all that to keep everyone happy, but it ruins the fun, and will make people play less and eventually quit
Sad, but true lol If it wasn't for Star Wars.. I would have left LONG ago
