Because if it only gives advantage, that limits the teams response if you play with full FO team. The description is a bit misleading on that one.

Zost has a 50% chance of calling an assist from any ally. If that ally is FO, then the assist gives 100% damage and the FO toon gets advantage for 2 turns as well.
