"Most" meaning the few you asked. "Most" didn't say that because you didn't ask "most". Anecdotal, at best, as each time it's brought up folks speak up for 3v3. I'm with the above, I like 3v3 so let's ditch 5v5 instead,
I do like how you say "most" and "anecdotal at best" and then go on to agree with the 3 people above you that prefer 3v3 as though that is most and is not anecdotal.
Don't pretend to have the high ground and then use the same argument you're railing against.
And to your initial claim of the "anecdotal most," apart from the 7 or so here, I'm pretty sure OP is correct that "most" people are opposed to 3v3.
100% of squads in SWGOH are designed with 5 characters in mind - see Gungans for the latest example. 3v3 takes those squad comps and turns them on their heads (see imperial troopers and CLS). Then, CG compensates with 3v3 omicrons, such as Tuskens, and says look, 3 man squads are a thing! It is both a shameless cash grab and not interesting to anyone who has, say, grinded the **bleep** out of Gungans because CG has made it all but required to be successful in the raid, in GACs, and in TWs, only to be punished every other month when 3v3s come around
So, take your anecdotes and claim the high ground all you want. The facts and the data aren't on your side.
Anecdotally, I'm with OP.
It sure is sad that two of your gungans probably end up on the bench in 3v3 but they still are great in a smaller team. CLS is a team that splits up great if you use CLS, threepio and C3po in one team and Han and chewie with either Sana oder Dash as a leader. 3v3 doesn't mean that teams don't work anymore in general, it means that they might work different from 5v5 which is great imo.
Are you sure 100% of squads ARE always for 5 units? Yes there are leadership skills that synergise with 5 but there are many toons who synergise as a pair and you can put a leader on that to form a very hard 3.

there are a handful of teams built around 3 character teams, or at least that accommodate for it. Tuskens, Old Rex- you could say that the Sith Triumvirate was meant to be a 3 character squad (even if they aren’t used that way now)
