The two dev posts in the other thread say otherwise. Both clarified the event is once a month while Thrawn's is very rare occurrence.
That's also just to get Home One, I said Thrawn's ship which requires 7* ships including both phoenix. Even if you had all the other requirements and bought the mega bundle, if you still needed 100 shards to 7*, at 10 per pack @ 800 crystals each but 6 possible ships, that's 4,800 crystals x 10 = 48,000 + the Home One cost. For me, who moderately farmed their ships, I estimate my cost to be around 100,000 crystals for Thrawn's ship. I'll pass.

As for the 100k crystals estimate to get Chimaera, i think you've taken the approach of flying right round the world just to get somewhere that was nearby if you'd only flown the other way!
My bad thinking they would put official information on their official board. Them leaving it off their clarification posts are absolutely misleading to the community here.
For the *third*, and last time, I said Thrawn's ship is for whales, not Home One.
