it isn't a guaranteed win if you lose both coin flips, and it gets eaten alive on defense.
It may not be a guaranteed win, but as I said elsewhere, I have never lost in hundreds of battles, save the very first time I tried it when I was putzing around making notes about how everything worked and ended up timing out. TBH, it just doesn't need that much detail in the strategy. Beat up on the tank, then on Sith Fighter. Time your Hangar Sabotage for after the AI brings in the enemy Mk6. Use the Dorito AoE only on its bonus turn. Then, win -- hundreds of times in a row. So... it's as close to guaranteed as I need it to be.
As for defense, just use your last fight of the day to put your defensive configuration back in.
