So putting shards in get shop is something that ensures few months of advantage for them, because they can 7* char immediately after unlock and all the rest of the ppl will slowly work to it, sacrificing gear increase, so in truth staying even more behind...

They don’t even get enough get you can’t buy get so really they made a toon that pisses everyone off. - 99,99% sure there was a leak to most dedicated spenders to hoard GET + devs just know how much currencies they have

Wrong. The game has changed completely. It was never like this in the past.
It's always been like this. The only change is that there are more characters and events now which makes hoarding harder. But hoarding has been the best strategy to unlock event characters on their first appearance ever since the first event.
Not really. Jtr was the first event that was pay to play. Before that it was never pay to play and really until revan it was never stretching you like crazy. Mobile gamer had a decent separatist squad, but had to drop 700 for gs... gs stinks too. Plus the kryotech, gear grind, and GET. You can’t even enjoy him for 6 months because he is so terrible.
You lost me after "Not really." Everything you said was a result of not hoarding. Including anyone paying for RJT. I've paid to help gear up for some events (I was NOT ready for Chewbacca) and gotten others (coincidentally both RJT and JKR) thanks to hoarded resources. Hoarding has been a strong strategy in this game from the beginning.
Also, Thrawn came out well before RJT. I suspect some folks may take umbrage at the claim that RJT way the first "pay to play" event."jhbuchholz;c-1987360" wrote:

Ironically, hoarding wasn't much help for Thrawn, as his requirements were all recent releases at the time...."Nikoms565;c-1987379" wrote:

Hoarding all of the store currencies was definitely a help for that, for those who had done so.- Thrawn was not difficult to unlock. The characters were accessible, they didn't need zetas, didn't require high gear. Heck, they didn't even need to be level 85, or have their abilities maxed to 7* him.

IIRC (and I might be wrong) the very first Thrawn event was shortly after all the Phoenix characters were released - and I thought (again, could be mistaken - it was awhile ago) at least two of them shared a farming source."Nikoms565;c-1987389" wrote:

Were they the ones that were in the shard shop for awhile too?"Nikoms565;c-1987389" wrote:

The entire Phoenix squad moved to farmable locations at the same time Thrawn was announced. Folks had roughly two weeks (maybe three?) to get 5 of them from 3 stars to 5. So you aren't wrong. Hoarded crystals helped with the needed refreshes and hoarded gear helped get them to G8, which was a pain in the butt at the time.
