Boba's revive is a nod toward fans who basicLly forced the EU to bring him back. Now he proliferates new content. HK gets by with little irritation because he is a droid and easily re-usable. I didnt like him in Kotor because as of clone wars droid technology is at its peak. The old republic ignored this and that created basically 3000 years where somehow no technological advancements were made and science basically stayed static. We know now between episode 1 and 7 a lot of advancements were made in ship technologies, so for the old republic to imply droids back then are as good or better than those in the era of the movies is sort of silly. Ancient Aliens anyone? Droids during the movies era seem to me to show the first signs of sellfawareness so if hk is canonized he needs to be brought into this era.

But if they actually balanced out the Powers of Jedi and Sith in correlation to gameplay, you would only have Sith and Jedi team in the arena as the others are just fodder at that point. Just people with blasters against people who can use the force. They threw out power balance when they made blaster shots do more damage than basically every saber strike in the game.
