In the old gac I would have fully agreed with you, but now there are zero GP grouping restrictions. If opponent has twice as many relics or GLs as you It won’t matter, 8mil vs4 mil is no competition, if they actually decide to attack.
Very valid point that it would also be aweful to give them their best toon for offense, but at least then they would actually have to play for banners against your preset teams while you could get 69 full banners soloing all their weakest. So it would give incentive to actually set you defense
