My recommendation, that I first offered early last Summer was that if you auto-deploy, your GL's are locked out. You can't use them on offense and they don't appear on defense. That way, it isn't an issue and you can still do a full clear.
That alone would stop the frustrating posts in regards to auto-deploy.
