I agree to some degree, but mostly disagree.

It definitely isn't.  Being in Kyber doesn't take much at all.  Older f2p accounts can easily hold Kyber 1 status.  Lower Kyber is doable with 8 million or less f2p.  I navigate mid to high-mid Kyber 2 and there are no krakens and not that many whales.  You just need time and know what you're doing.

This I agree with.  However, not where you'd place them.  Make a new smaller 1 division league for the krakens  (I was also thinking of calling it Beskar).  This would help in a few ways.

1. Gives the chance to remove the issue with the returning accounts being beamed to K1 for some reason.
2.  Add extra defensive set-up spots and give the krakens a chance to use more teams and see more variety.
3.  Might remove the squish formula issue that plagues Kyber due to the face that Kyber has more divisions being squished down to squished up.

The other league that I think should be added would be a tadpole league right at the bottom for new accounts.  They get to face each other before moving to the big ponds.  Accounts outside of 'tadpole' or leave 'tadpole' may never enter/return.  Thus protecting the tadpoles from these large accounts that have free-fallen to carbonite.

I don't understand why these are necessary (for reward purposes).  Is there some sort of unfair gap in rewards between Kyber - Aurodium and Carbonite - Bronzium?  I don't see how these reward gaps are out of proportion with the rest of the leagues.  TBF, I'm going from original memory I haven't checked the break-down.

What I think is the crux of the issue is the power gap between these leagues.  I know for sure (as at one point it was me) you get caught up in a whirlpool of promoting to kyber, then instantly getting dumped back to aurodium and forever to repeat until you're strong enough to escape that whirlpool.

The issue with that, is that leagues have a hard-wall (you cannot go pass a league wall until the end of the season); whereas, division do not.  This means you get to the top of Aurodium and still facing Aurodium opponents, but are increasing your Kyber point tally skill rating to a point, where when you go up (then get squished even higher) you're facing opponents way above your capabilities.  You then demote down to K5 and the exact opposite happens.  You keep losing until you have an A2 skill rating, but still playing Kyber players.  Then when you get demoted, you're squished down even further.  So, you then face players a fair bit below your power level.

The answer to this is to have divisions and leagues promotions and demotions the same, probably every week.  This prevents being hard-walled while you continue to gain/lose skill rating.  The issue with doing this, is that the squish formula is specifically designed to re-balance the hard-walling issue.  Basically, they'd have to totally re-invent the promotions/demotions.  Something, I doubt they're willing to do when the current system isn't terrible.
