Trying to make game content not clash with various minor details in the movies is ridiculous. Kylo only ever used that freeze thing once or twice in the movies. Should everyone he didn't use it on just be immune to it?
If they are in fact immune to Fear, it's probably intended and was just left out of the description by mistake. Rookie move, sure, but there it is.
