Absolutely not. Since the galactic power thing has been implemented, for example, the last node passed from "fightable teams which are at your level and can beat you exactly as you can beat them" to "whole g12 teams which don't let you even make a move". I don't know if you're a wallet warrior, but if you are I see why you don't have this problem.
i'm completely f2p and i don't have that problem. Only faced a full g12 team once in GW.
