Zerek Ability Modules = lvl 80 Hard Cap

These new modules are currently only available in the marquee which lasts 6 days, after which you are prevented from leveling any of the new characters until the next character marquee. Then, you have to choose which character to use them on, IF you spend money again to unlock 6-7 star day one on the new character. 

This is slimy and an underhanded system that CG has implemented to prevent you from maxing out your characters. It is impossible to level your characters past lvl 80 in this current system without taking resources from the newer characters as they are released.

Unless this changes, there is no reason to spend any money on the character, as they have perma throttled your leveling, even after spending $500+ on a character.

The deception is strong with these people. Its all about the money, not about the customers or the fun which has been stripped away with so much monetization and hard caps.

The fix? Make Zerek Ability Moduels available through other means outside of the character events.
