They've repeatedly stressed that GW isn't supposed to be easy and rewarded all the way through node 12 just for participating. You can bet one of their metrics collected is the percent that make it all the way through. So say if it's 80% of the players pass, 20% fail or don't bother and you are in the 20%, instead of blaming the system maybe try to figure out why you are in the 20% and not the 80%. That rule is applicable to most things in life.
