Gear changes?

I think a little bit of salt brings out flavor. A lot of salt is unpalatable. I'm just unsure of which part of the gear economy changes you're talking about. They've made a lot of changes to gear economy. As an aside, even though it wasn't part of the 'gear economy' conversation - bonus drops are commonplace now which speeds up character/ship farms and translates into gear by way of shard shop currency if you've already got the flavor of the month at 7*.

But CG has said a lot of things about the gear economy - so which parts exactly are we talking about?
