You either skip factions, wait to farm them or you pay. That's it really. Been like that for close to 6 years now.
People have spent 200K on this game. They should be the tip of the spear.
If you look back every now and then there are changes to make things slightly better. Accelerated farming, cheaper refreshes etc. But don't be fooled the objective is to always make you spend more
