There's no need to permanently update the leadership.
They can add it just for the tier
If they can add extra health for Healers or extra damage for sith in triunvurate, they can add leadership value for Asajj in the tier

They could also add an event-specific ability that she can use, such as calling all droid allies to assist. Her leader is very good for her, and as someone else pointed out, separatist droids have good synergy.

Maybe it'll be a raid power, or when opposing ventress, she'll be different like mace is in geoTB. Hard to see how that'd work if you play as her though

Subordinates who don't get leadership bonus is nothing new, and most of Separatists' synergies are in the kits, not the leads. Their leads tend to either be selfish or make enemies worse.

The droids keep their full synergies so despite not benefiting from Asajj lead you'll still get a lot of synergy.

We may not see a tweak to Asajj for this.

Mixed synergies may become a thing though. Do you want assaj with ns or seps? Jango with sep or BH?
A better case in point, where do you place clone Sgt and snips if you have shaak and padme? There are multiple configs and none that net all the bonuses. And if they can only be in one squad (eg tw/GA) where do R2 and C3PO go? Gr, rebel, resistance?

Maybe. But if she gets a minor touch-up a là Jango, it will probably happen after the event. Just like Jango didn't get Sep synergy until after the first Padme run.

It's ultimately the same thing as Dooku's Sith synergy or Nute's Scoundrel tag. It's fun to use Nute in a Qi'ra squad in GAC or run Dooku with Traya for a change. Little experiments that keep the game from becoming stale.

Ironically, mixed synergies (and mixed teams) were always a thing, as many abilities were not faction-specific early on....and then CG dialed that back and started making (and reworking) abilities to only be faction specific to limit "mixed synergies". And back around they come?

Some teams are obvious, so people complain about prescribed metas/synergies/teams. So they introduce units who can go multiple ways or have a nebulous but useful place in a number of locations and people complain about that, too.
