GL Rebel Friend - Character/Kit Concept
I think this is my eighth kit concept, after the Alliance Honour Guard one which was over a year ago, at least. It's been a while.
Anyways, I thought that I'd try my hand at crafting a GL and who can I go with than everyone's best friend and wingman himself Rebel Friend? It's mostly meme-y, but this is what I thought of. Tried to lean into his role as someone you can ever see in the background, hence the new tag: Generic. I was also thinking back on his first appearance in LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, so you'll see some synergy with R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Relic Amplifier: Fleet Trooper Helmet
Mastery: Increases Accuracy, Critical Avoidance, and Damage
A Generic Rebel Support who's always in the background and is never the main character...but he's still a friend.
The Power of Background Extras (Ultimate)
Requires at least 50% Ultimate Charge to activate.
Ultimate Charge: whenever Rebel Friend gains a stack of Background Character, he gains 5% Ultimate Charge. He gains an additional 10% whenever a Generic Rebel gains a stack of Background Character.
Dispel all debuffs on all Rebel allies and they gain Background Extras. Generic Rebels deal True damage on non-assist out of turn attacks and gain +5% Mastery per stack of Background Character they have. Rebel Friend grants 20% of his Max Health, Max Protection, Offense, Tenacity and Potency to all Generic Rebels until the end of battle.
If less than 100% Ultimate Charge was used, Background Extras lasts for 3 turns.
If 100% Ultimate Charge was used, Background Extras lasts for 5 turns instead, Rebel Friend grants an additional 10% of his Max Health, Max Protection, Offense, Tenacity and Potency to Generic Rebels until the end of battle, and Generic Rebels gain Speed equal to 10% of Rebel Friend's Speed until the end of battle and their attacks cannot be Countered.
Background Extras: assist whenever a Rebel ally uses an ability during their turn. Enemies defeated by this character cannot be revived. Rebel Friend cannot gain Ultimate Charge while this buff is active on any ally.
Basic: DH-17 Blaster Pistol
Deal Physical damage to target enemy. Call a random Rebel ally to assist. If the assisting ally is a Generic Rebel, they deal 50% more damage and gain 1 stack of Background Character (max 10).
Special 1: Get 'Em Boys! (CD 3 turns)
All Rebel allies gain Offense Up for 2 turns, 15% Turn Meter and are called to Assist, dealing 50% less damage.
If all allies are Generic Rebels when this ability is used, assisting allies do not have damage penalty and remove 20% of the target enemy's Turn Meter. Remove an additional 5% Turn Meter for each stack of Background Character on all Generic Rebels.
Special 2: Totally Replaceable (CD 3 turns)
Target Rebel ally gains Taunt for 2 turns and Expendable Extra until they are defeated. If the target ally is a Generic Rebel, this Taunt lasts for 3 turns and they gain Defense Up for 3 turns. These effects cannot be prevented, copied or dispelled.
Expendable Extra: when defeated, revive with 100% Health and 50% Protection, and Rebel Friend takes a bonus turn and gains 2 stacks of Background Character.
Leader: Friend from the Rebel Alliance
Rebel allies gain +30% Mastery, Max Health and +20% Critical Chance. Generic Rebels gain an additional +15% Max Health and +10% Critical Chance. Generic Rebels recover 5% Health and Protection whenever they attack out of turn.
If no other allies have the Leader tag at the start of battle, all Generic Rebels gain an additional +15% Max Health, and their attacks cannot be evaded.
If Pao, R2-D2 or C-3PO are allies at the start of battle, they gain the Generic tag until the end of battle.
Unique 1: You've Seen Me Somewhere
Rebel Friend cannot be targeted while another Generic Rebel ally is active. Rebel Friend gains 1 stack of Background Character each time any character uses any ability during their turn. If R2-D2 or C-3PO are allies, they gain a stack of Background Character when they use any ability during their turn and cannot be targeted while there is an active Generic Rebel ally.
Whenever a Rebel ally is defeated, Rebel Friend dispels all debuffs on himself, recovers 20% Health and Protection and gains 1 stack of Background Character.
If all allies are Generic Rebels and Rebel Friend has exactly two additional Support allies or two Attacker allies, and one Tank ally: all allies are immune to Doubt, and summon a Fleet Trooper to the ally slot, if it is available. Whenever a non-summoned Generic Rebel ally is defeated, if they did not have Expendable Extra, summon a Fleet Trooper in their slot and gain that ally's Role until the end of battle. Generic Rebels gain a stack of Background Character when using a Special ability during their turns.
Background Character: +5% Offense and Potency. When this character gains Background Extras, dispel all stacks of Background Character.
Unique 2: Fleet Trooper
Light Side, Attacker, Generic, Rebel, Rebel Fighter
[Basic] Alliance Trooper: Deal Physical damage to target enemy. If the target is Empire, grant 1 stack of Background Character to Rebel Friend.
[Special] For The Alliance!: Rally all Rebel allies.
Rallied characters act based on their Role:
- Tanks Taunt and gain Critical Hit Immunity for 2 turns
- Attackers assist
- Healers and Supports restore 15% Health and Protection to all allies
[Unique] Summoned: This unit's stats scale with the summoner's stats, can only be summoned to the ally slot if its available, and cannot be summoned in Raids. This unit does not count for "Defeated Unit" effects and does not count as an "Active Ally" or "Active Enemy". A unit can't be revived if this summoned unit exists in their slot. When there are no other allied combatants, this unit escapes from battle.
Unique 3: Galactic Legend
This unit takes reduced damage from percent Health damage effects and massive damage effects. They take massive damage from destroy effects (excludes raid bosses) and are immune to stun effects.
This unit has +10% Max Health and Max Protection per Relic Amplifier level, and damage they receive is decreased by 30%.
Synergy Suggestions
This would be the ideal team that I'd suggest. The 5th slot can be filled in with any of the other three non-Generic Rebels and they'll be granted the tag on spawn.
