Grand Arena Tie-breaker
Today I tied with my opponent in the Grand Arena and in tie-breaker, I ultimately lost because I have less GP than my opponent. I'm sure I'm not the first one to ask this but if I accomplish the same...

It's matchmaking GP, not total GP, that decides a tie, so fluffed rosters have nothing to do with it. Just your top X toons.
No, since the GAC update on 14th of August it is the Total GP that determines a winner in a tied battle:
