Again, guild hopping is an exploit being used to bypass the gear and credit progression block that the devs specifically put in place to slow us down. It's not a hack or a cheat, it's an EXPLOIT.
Exploiting is when you use a bug or unintended feature of something to play the game in a way the developers didn't intend for you to play it.
The devs came in and made a public post saying the current way we were playing is fine, but that they would analyze data to see if they felt like making a change.
It's not an exploit. It's many things, but an exploit it is not. An exploit is up to the interpretation of the developers AND ONLY THE DEVELOPERS, NOT YOU, and they came in and said it's not. So it's not. End of story.
Is it good design? Bad design? Smart on their part? Worth it on our part? Something that should be changed? Something that shouldn't be changed? Something that hurts the game? Something that doesn't actually hurt the game? All of these things can be debated. The part of is this an exploit? cannot be debated. It is not.
I was with you until this post. NRAJ stated himself, in the lengthy thread that has since been closed that guild hopping is a "loophole that is working on a way the devs had not intended" - he even went on to point out that those doing it now shouldn't be surprised when the ability to do so is limit led in the future.
The thread I am referring to is still available - it's just closed. But I'm guessing you are already aware of everything I just posted.
