Celebrate the fact that you are fortunate to have more to do than play a game and more important things to spend your money on. Coming on a game forum and posting about things being unfair because of real life restrictions is just silly. Sometimes one can get so upset that they lose sight of what's important. Your good fortune to have a family and a job should bring you joy enough to outweigh any frustrations a game can cause.
Saying people have no life is pretty negative. These people have yet to develop the responsibilities you are fortunate enough to have. Maybe they are unable but want to. We working family folk have to keep a balance between hobby, family, and work. We can't afford to let negativity from a hobby infect our lives. Whatever slop they've given us to play needs to be played for enjoyment or not played at all.
If you are truly investing in this game to be the best, and not doing it for fun, then I would certainly encourage you to quit. There will always be things that are frustrating about a game if you take it too seriously. Enjoy the game they've given us by playing the way you want to. Let other people do the same. I've known I was going to fall behind ever since they introduced guilds. I've cut back my time spent in the game and lowered my expectations of arena rank. It's much less stressful and a lot more fun that way. I'm planning on cutting back even more, though admittedly it's tough.
Your points are valid if the problem is the time sink, that's not the problem, so your points fall short. I won't even go into the actual problem as its stated 100 times in this thread and I can't recall many, if anybody, saying the issue lies with they don't want to dedicate more time
