I'd go outside the banners by adding light sabers, droid silloets, ship silloets, etc. using character and ship portraits as badges should be an easy win ( also don't forget to add jar jar and a dearth jar jar because I know a few guilds that would use that ).
I'm guessing this is in relation to the guild wars datamines. Personally I would like a badge ala favorites showing my thirty day average arena rank IF it is top three. If you go guild wars, adding the badge for guild war ranking would be awesome, also allowing the ranking guild to submit their own icon for approval and use would be huge.
