Are there any other cool SWTOR logos y'all can think of? Or maybe logos for gangs or criminal enterprises?
User generated would obviously have to be approved by CG unless you like scrolling through various sexual organs and nazi symbols -- not recommended. So it should be set aside as a rare reward say winning a rare tournament, being first to down a new raid boss, or winning a guild war. Since these are guild identifiers, literally the people playing the holo tables in the far future hopefully Lucas can cut some slack.
Guilds will fight hard for the right to display their banners, it's a powerful reward that has the added advantage of not interfering with the economy in any way unless you want to attach some cost to renew the use on a monthly basis or so in which it becomes a useful sink.
That's pretty much all I got on banners :/. But I do like that we are getting some more!
