GW Exponentially More Difficult?

*Rhetorical*

Maybe I'm the only this is happening to. But, my Galactic War nodes have become *exceedingly* more difficult, in the past month or so.

Have the developers (in their infinite, glorious, and infallible wisdom) adjusted the algorithm that determines which GW-Nodes are hardest/easiest?

For the longest time, my Node-12 was "broken." My most difficult node was Node-11. My Node-9 was the next most difficult, and, the first which I couldn't autoplay. Node-6 would be moderately difficult, once in a blue-moon. All other Nodes were a breeze. I'd *never* spend more than 20-minutes playing GW. And, up until a month ago, I would complete 99.9% of my GWs, daily.

Then something changed. I'm not sure what it was. Maybe it was me? Maybe I'm a "wound in the Force." Maybe, I broke the game.

Now, I can no longer autoplay any Nodes, not even Node-1, using my top-toons. My Node-3 gives me trouble. My Node-6 kills a couple squads at least. I'm lucky to get beyond Node-9. And, if I do, Node-11 is literally impossible.

Whether it's facing a 7-Star Gear-XI Thrawn-led mega-whale team on Node-6, or, a Kenobi-led, Nihilus-backed, Zeta'd-Barriss, Chirut/Baze Squad on Node-9, or a literal "Pay-to-Win" Squad on Node-11, I'm finding myself not only unable to complete GWs...

...but *unwilling* to continue playing SWGoH.

Am I alone in this sentiment? Is everyone happy with the recent changes, updates, nerfs, and buffs? Do the developers even give a $#!+?

The answer to all three of these questions is a resounding *NO*.

  • Since the latest genius update node 6 has become virtually impossible, I mean it was bad before, but now I'm facing maxed out 7 star opponents, meaning now I'm burning through almost my whole cast just to get to node 7. And there is a serious problem with the AI opponent turn meter even when I use Phasma's victory march ability the AI still goes from empty TM bar to still hitting twice before any of my guys get a single turn.
    GW has gotten WAY out of hand, and the worst of it is is the difficulty has gone through the roof, and the rewards are just as lame as the have always been.
    I don't get it......if your intentions are to make players so frustrated that they quit playing, then my hat is off to you...you're doing a bang up job.
  • I honestly don't know why people still do GW. Once you've farmed Teebo, the rewards don't justify putting yourself through a broken suckfest of fail.

    Just get as far as you need to (1 for the daily ach.) and then just pass on the chance to get a JKG or Lobot shard. ;)

    My guild have stopped asking for 600 tokens on GW days. It's just a source of unhappiness! :)
  • Up until recently I only ever encountered the odd impossible node 12. However for about 3-4 weeks now I'm faced with a node 12 that pits me against an insurmountable foe.

    There's a pattern emerging too, for example they all have virtually identical mods depending on the character. For example General Kenobi with extreme protection and speed secondaries or R2, Baze and Chirrut with speed mods (max speed of 256+)

    GW is for sure bugged, but probably only from the perspective of the 'super easy' broken node 12s. My guess is that by addressing the power of toons the devs have begun fixing this long standing issue.

    As for the crazy hard node 12s... I fear that this is by design. It almost feels like a marketing strategy to entice you to spend money, why else has it never been officially addressed on here?
