nothing to do with dropping weak teams in arena gw is based off of your old school power rating of your top 5(or best arena team but that will always be up for debate) the harder nodes try and match you with someone with a higher rating then you. And these numbers are also up for debate but on node 12 it tries to give someone that has a rating at least 110% better then you but if your in the top 9% then they can't find someone strong enough to match with you. So it just rolls over to the weakest an plucks a team out from the bottom of the barrel
