Easy ... matchmaking will adapt over time, so losers meet other losers.
Eventually you'll get matched against somebody you will enjoy fighting.

Until then take it easy on the salt. It's not healthy.

(Also: If you're THAT troubled by other players with more or less identical GP, try consulting countless online sources on how to improve your roster. There should be plenty room for improvement)
