Has the missing buttons bug returned, or did it never leave?

Yay CG! Way to keep on top of all these bugs...

I know, it's MY fault for not ensuring I didn't use any team that could possibly be buggy against any teams that could possibly be buggy.

And yes, I already posted this to answers. Just curious if anyone else is seeing this recently and to warn others this might pop up and ruin GAC for you.

There is a bug when you use Troopers against Geos that can occur, which has something to do with a mass assist I believe. Maybe this is something similar here?

Never left. They have only mitigated some instances of it happening.

They did respond that there are multiple causes of it, so there's not one fix that will take care of all of it.DT is one of the more documented causes.
