It’s been quite a few years since I had the skull crushing headache of being GL but if memory serves I think you need to buy a name change item or something like that? Not for cash it was crystals I think (maybe some other in game currency but it was before raid currency and GET3) and I don’t remember where to find it. Maybe someone else remembers? Good luck!
Nope, I was way off. Must have been thinking of a different game. Google it, you can find instructions on how to open a ticket to get CG to take care of it.
If you are the leader, contact EA support. Also have multiple variations ready for your proposed name change.
Also, you should not share your player ID on the forum.

it may be easier just to get the dictionary to change the spelling
I did it and it was pretty easy to get it changed
