The problem is not this guy, as stupid as he may be, he is free to act as he sees fit. The problem is how the whole system works. I mean, to get the 1st place reward you have to be 1st exactly at the time of your reward, not before or after. When CG could just track your best position over a 24 hour period and give the appropriate reward. That would end half of the shard mafia... but they are busy implementing essential features like “$hit-a-bundle”.
Sure, but i bet people would find ways to manage that aswell, there is no escaping people trying to find ways to get the crystals, and i don't blame them! Personally i wouldn't mind a alternative fleet, as in you can choose between pvp or pve, in pvp end of week who ever is nr1 get big payout and lesser payouts for everyone else decreasing farther from nr1. In pve you fight non player fleets (more variationimo), nr 1 just gets less crystals then the nr1 pvp guy. But that is a lot of work and i don't think this is something thats gonna happen
