LSB's different prices for the same thing!!

Why do you charge different amounts for the same LSB depending on country??

E.g,  Bo-Katan (Mand'Alor) - $39.99 US dollars. Euro's - €47.99. GBP £39.99.

Dollars to the Euro - $39.99 = €34.03

Dollars to GBP - €39.99 = £29.71

So, you're ripping people off who use the Euro by €13 and ripping off people who use the GBP by £10.

Why such a huge difference? And no, it doesn't cost a €13 fee to convert one currency to another through a bank. Same for the pound. It's just plain greed!!!

This usually has to do with how Apple or Google handle exchange rates to different countries, and isn't deliberately set by CG.

Nothing to do with Google play or Apple. Otherwise they would higher the price of the US version to cover the cost of Apple or Google.

  • Blame the EU for requiring their "donation" as part of any deal.  They have thrones to keep polished.  Each country has their own regulations, taxes, etc., (and the EU gets a cut if you're in an EU country.)

Oh yeah, I forgot about the VAT thing. A lot of European countries have the tax included in the price, so depending on what your tax rate is in your country, it can get pretty high. Like you probably pay £39.99 if you buy it. If I bought it at $39.99, I'd actually be charged $42.19. Other states would be higher.

Google says Germany's VAT rate is 19%, for example. So if the base conversion is €33.96, in Germany the price would be listed as €40.41.

There could be other factors involved. Not sure if you are viewing the different price rates in the same country or not. But for example, in Iceland, they might ask you if you want to pay in ISK or USD, but if you do the math, the USD price is higher than what the exchange rate is, because they charge a conversion fee.

In any case, it's not an issue of CG trying to be discriminatory.

  • Banks get charged for currency exchange. Why? I have no earthly idea - it's 100% digital. It's not like some poor sap gets sent to a local bank with a briefcased full of euro's, hands it to a teller who has to count it, run it through a conversion calc, then count out the amount of dollars it's equal to, then chage the customer a fee for the effort. It takes a millisecond (probably less) for a computer to figure it out, yet, people get charged for it. Why?
