You can only battle 1 person at a time, and that person has to be in FRONT of you.... So If he decides to attack that ONE person in front of him, cuz he can only attack that ONE person, that is what the game is telling you to do in a pvp scenario. Is it logical, no. Is it polite, no. Is it kinda stupid, yes. But again he is only doing what the game is telling him to do, attack people in front of you until you reach nr1. Thats pvp. I DON'T LIKE IT EITHER! But if you decide to orchestrate a mass attack of 20 people vs one, without the guy knowing, cuz he is not in the group, thats unfair and i believe it to be more harmfull towards that one person then him attacking others, even if it isn't his payout.
By your logic if ONE person in each shard declares that they want 1st all day that's okay and all the thousands of other people in a shard just can't do anything ever?

But that's NOT the reason they are attacking him. The reason is that they are trying to get the best rank for their payouts, and this guy will hit them regardless.

But you are agreeing either what the guy is doing, but not letting the shard deal with it the only way they can. OP tried reaching out through the guild and reasoning with him and now there's only one option. If you don't like shard chats fine but it's just as ridiculous for one person to just arbitrarily decide spot 2 is there's for 23 hours.

One last time, i never said they could not attack him, one on one, he wants place 1 so he has to fight anyone in front of him, otherwise you can't get place 1. They organize a group attack to get him out of top 20. <- This is don't agree with

there have been a number of suggestions made, engage in combat before your payout, allow him to be nr 1 so no headache, allow him to be nr1 and succesfully attack him before your payout, etc.... I NEVER said i agree with the guy thought process, i just said there is nothing you can do about it because the game itself allows it and he's not breaking any rules. I never said its ok for one guy to claim any spot.... in fact i said if he wants it he has to fight for it. How the game is designed.
I don't agree with the guy, lets make that clear because you seem under the impression i'm defending him. I think if you work with people its much easier. But for whatever wacky reason he wants to do it the hard way so make it hard for him or ignore him, but don't gang up on him. Think about it this way, if he fights his way to nr 1, he has to have the means to stay nr 1, is it fair that he gets attacked by twenty players in a row, or would it be easier to adapt? let him be nr 1, if it is your payout time organize so you are nr 2 and beat him. He'll take back nr1, so the next person in line goes to 2 and beats him again when its his payout time. You don't waste time and crystals trying to keep him away from a place he has to defend all the time.

Again why is it wrong for 20 people to gang up on someone, but not wrong for this guy to essentially gang up on everyone else in the shard? If they are being that much of a **bleep** then shouldn't everyone gang up on him? Letting people get away with stuff and not calling them out or dealing with it is why the world is the way it is lol. Trying to reason with him didn't work. There's nothing the game can do to this guy but there's also nothing the game can do to the shard for retaliating.

I don't defend his actions, i find thim to be kinda ignorant and selfish aswell, BUT he is doing what the game is supposed to be, FIGHT to get place 1, defend your place and if he decides to take on the shard 1 at a time the entire time that is his right.
I just suggested a possible solution, i didn't say this was the only way. You on the other hand are so stuck at following the shards opinion and defending their actions you don't even consider the fact other people might not agree with what the guy is doing, but understand that he's gonna keep doing it because its allowed
Now to be very clear, if you want to organize a shard, i'm absolutly fine with that, in fact i would join. And if the shard coordinates to fight to take places, sure, but if it is to get him out and keep him out thats unfair because that would be ganging up on him
