How do you decide when and what mods to sell?

Upgrading a 5 dot mod to level 15 costs about 500k credits. Now that I have a medium number of level 15 mods, I can be a bit more picky about what I spend my coin on. But what's the best point to give up on a mod? Do you just sell any level 1 'light blue' mod? Do you level all mods to 3 to see what the first secondary is? Or do you decide based on what the primary stat is (i.e. Trash any defense primary). Just looking for some advice on how to maximize my credit to good mod ratio.

  • +30 speed arrows, any mod w/ double digit speed secondaries, Crit chance/Crit damage and Offense mods w/ huge offense bonuses, Health mods w/ health/prot secondaries. Everything else gets sold.

I do keep 6 Potency mods and 6 Speed mods w/ ridiculous speed that i can mix/match w/ other sets in case I need them for a specific circumstance.
  • Once you are so far along in mods, all white colored mods become worthless.

There's 117 characters in the game. Each can equip 6 mods, That is a maximum of 702 mods that you can have equipped at any one time. You could decide you want 2 sets of mods for each character to be able to swap in and out. That's 1404 mods. If you have more than that then sell the white ones you get. If you have ~500 mods or less, then I wouldn't sell any just yet.
