How is the guild rank calculated?
Hi all, this discussion was raised a while back and the thread got trolled and subsequently closed.
The question is "how is the guild rank calculated in a points tie situation?"
There has been radio silence from devs over this and as the guild leaderboard is the only Guild Vs Guild competition in the game, I feel it's only right to figure out the mystery once and for all.
It's my view that the damage done vs the raid has to be the defining factor on how a guild is ranked. I make this assumption based off the fact that my guild always seems to be top of our points division and we do alot of damage in P1 and clear heroic with 1 squad per member. I do know that we aren't alone in this though so that could be a mistake. We regularly see the same guilds shadowing us in the leaderboard so there is consistency in that theory if we are all doing similar damage.
I do not think it is time taken as we have had a 24hr FFA time from raid start since day one. We run a single run each at a set start time and then finish the raid 24hrs later. We know other guilds are doing the same but on a shorter time. So I do not think it is that.
Number of squads used, This could be a factor, it is similar to damage done in that it would be an average damage per toon used and not include any over kill. I'm not sure if this could be it but it is very similar to total damage done.
We know some people are capable of a single run clear with the use of dengar, if it was squads/characters used these guilds would be topping their points division?
There are a lot of variables, these are some of my thoughts, I do not think it's random as there is consistency. Feel free to add or contribute and any dev comments would be extremely welcome.
