They dont benefit directly from people having a bad experiance in GAC but when the next shiny thing comes out they do benefit from people being further away from unlocking it which is the result of less people getting kyber rewards.
It's an indirect benefit from ignoring the bug and intentionally making the kyber bar rng dependent on if just 1 or 2 of your battles crash you will miss it...
