How to salvage datacrons concept

I like the temporary nature of DCs because it creates an avenue for whales to spend their money on something that will go away a few months later, so as a light spender, I’m not put in a further hole at the later point in time. Anyone who’s a F2P or light spender should be thanking and embracing CG for the DC concept. If any changes are made, I hope they keep the temporary aspect.
