Hyperdrive bundle

I disagree with you guys on at least 3 points.

1. Quality of this game is no better than hundreds games of 5-10 years ago
2. The manpower “these days”, especially the last year on this game is definitely not far greater than in the past. The first couple of years of this games development probably took more than ten times the manpower is does now.
3. Comparing this game to a game that can be completed in a couple hours is ridiculous, for a true comparison look at games that last for years, mostly online games. Unfortunately mobile gaming has typically had very low longevity, most games don’t even last 2 years.

I’m in the camp that agrees that the prices in this game are really, really high. I’d spend more frequently if they were cheaper.

But obviously enough players are willing to pay it that our opinions don’t really matter much.

So it is what it is. Hyperdrive is a relatively great value when compared to everything else in the game, and that is the established yard stick in this case.

I’m willing to bet that at some point down the road, even giraffe and Jarvind will think to themselves, “really, $1000 bucks for an upgrade to 1 character? Ok now this is getting out of hand!”

It’s all relative and companies will continue to charge what people are willing to pay. For me though, the gaming industry has taken it too far already and others will never feel that way no matter how expensive things get.

And that is the way it is, it's all relative. Some people will never understand spending 100s of thousands of dollars on a car, but people do it all the time.

For me, looking at the games that make a lot of money on cosmetics is crazy. I could never imagine spending on a game, just to look different.

I dont necessarily hold the industry responsible, because they are not the ones making the choices, the consumers are. This is not heating your house or food to feed your family, this is a choice a consumer makes based on what they feel comfortable paying for something.

I would love to buy my wife a 2 carat diamond, but its not the sellers fault I cannot afford a high quality one. It is "worth more" than I feel comfortable spending, but it's still just a mineral dug out of the ground....

I guess it could cost you $1000 to do a single toon if you aren't managing your resources, but whose fault is that?

I don't have a single Res or FO at G13, I have many sub-G12, and I can do every single announced GL required toon (including Vet Han) plus the two unannounced Marquis for under $900 worth of vaults.
