What the heck man. I was Kyber 1 at the start of the recent GAC, then lost a match on Thursday (24 Apr), and dropped, which was fine and expected (I knew I was only about 1 win above the Kyber 1 threshold), then on Saturday I won and didn't promote back.
Weird but not the craziest thing ever. But on Monday (27 Apr) I won again and I STILL didn't promote back?? Cmon CG what's going on.
It’s honestly impressive how much energy you're wasting on this. If this is your biggest struggle today, you’ve clearly run out of real-world problems.
So, for some reason we (K1/K2) were squished ridiculously hard between seasons. At least double what you'd been squished for the last year, possibly a lot lot more. We have not been told the reason why.
The squish figure is applied before the season starts, but it doesn't take effect (promotion/demotion) until after the end of the first match. Also, the first match in the week is worth more Skill Points than the second, and the second more than the third. So, you could lose the first, then win the second and still not go back up (by a couple of points).
However, in this case it's all about the squish. Most likely you got squished around 2 wins at least. For an accurate view of what's going on, check your profile on swgoh.gg. It'll show you how much you were squished.
