I quit. So long and thanks for all the fish.

A week ago I woke up in the middle of the night in considerable pain. My whole upper chest, both shoulders, arms and hands all ached. Within a day I reached the inescapable conclusion that playing the game too much had contributed to my predicament and even minimal interaction exacerbated it. And a day later I had quit my guild and uninstalled.

When I started playing SWGoH six years ago it was a fun diversion. Sure, some events could take time but the main recurring time sink was the daily arena climbs. Some players even complained that there wasn't enough going on.
There was no GAC, no Conquest, no Galactic Challenges.

These days there is always some recurring event active and often multiple simultaneously.
Fleet arena climb is still active daily
GAC is active 3/4 of the time
Conquest is active 1/2 the time and has become a numbing grind
TW involves more battles than it used to
TB is at least as involved as it ever was
Galactic Challenges pop up twice a week and some of them are really annoying / time consuming
The new raids are active half the week and you can no longer ignore them because the guild needs every player to participate every raid.

The game places an endless stream of demands on its players. It has ceased to be a fun hobby and has become more like a second job. This is not sustainable. It grinds players down until eventually they quit. I have seen a lot of that in the last year. Engagement metrics may be good for bean counters but they are bad for players.
