I'm seriously missing the "Unlock at 5 stars" Legendary characters.

They haven't gone anywhere.... Think of the hero's journey characters as extremely rare. Luke is the protagonist of the OT; Rey of the ST. You can expect more of the traditional legendary characters. Probably Hux, maybe Snoke, etc.

Edit: Maybe even Old Luke, too. He certainly wouldn't get a hero's journey.

Fair enough. I just liked having characters that even at 5, 6 stars, I could still enjoy using/get usage out of. My 5 star Palp and Yoda helped a lot before I got them maxed. It's just annoying me that it seems like the majority of new characters either require you to have, let's be honest, some god tier power characters, or they're all in the highest difficulty areas. I'm still trying to get through the final LS and Cantina sections. Even clearing all of 9 DS wasn't as hard!

Thrawn, r2, and the Chimaera are some of the best units in the game

Wouldn't Luke's current hero's journey end up with old luke eventually? I figured they'd just go down the line. Jedi next then fogey Luke.

Well, we still need Jedi Knight Luke, aka the black outfit from ROTJ.

Idk, palp would be an epic Heroes journey.

I bet he has a crazy backstory.

Oh yeah, true. There's just so much story missing between RotJ Luke and Old Luke. Plus we barely see Luke in TFA so it would be based on TLJ.

Most people I know that are F2P only got Thrawn at 5* first time, some who only have him at 6*, and a large amount of people who only had BB8 at 5, with only some of them getting to 7 while most were stuck at 6

More crunch, less character shards equals more panic farming and money spent. Maybe that is why you are seeing more 7* events.
