Imbalanced gear requirements (not the usual complaint)?

I have been excited about the Veers rework so started looking into fully gearing up an imperial trooper team. After checking the gear requirements on swgoh.gg it seems this is not really an option for...

True! But for many players (myself included), rancor raid only gear is no longer any real issue - it is more the sheer volumes of the 'farmable' gear that is required - stun cuffs, stun guns, sienars, syringes, carbanti, etc.

My point is not so much the overall gear grind though, more the fact that very weak characters seem to need even more of it than the meta characters.
