In the advertising of said "special operations."

It said Director Krennig will join your squad. I didn't get krennig when I completed it. So did they lie, Was it a glitch, Or was it just false advertising? Either way I didn't get krennig any o'...

No, you misunderstood it. You expected he would join your roster but what they meant (and what they said) was that he would join your squad.
