Without those stats being attached to the actual game and simply posted on a forum how can it be proven thats what they are? If it was in game posted then it would be of more value. How often does google/apple audit these stats for possible changes? We all know how often things get “bugged”.Looks like just a bunch of numbers posted on the internet.
It has to be added in game. I imagine at some point we will see some small print stating it when you open the chromium packs. They just wanted to announce it here in hopes people would fall for them "doing right by the community." Hogwash they were trying to spin out. The same will eventually come out as far as shard drops and everything else. By law they have to tell the player the statistical average on the chances of pulling a shard because it falls under the same category as the the chromium packs.
So I look for that to the next thing they do to "help" the player base probably after they tweak it to start dropping more. The 30% has already been debunked completely across the board. So if they try to push that number then they really will be in trouble unless they start upping the drops again to compensate. I know once my 40+ people in my group finish our statistical analysis after a month we are sending it on to Google who asked to see it as well. Good thing my Mom teaches business and statistics in college. Everything has been noted along the way along with pics taking of the character before after run to show shard count and everything. That way they can't cry false on it.
This exact same thing happened in the Heroes of Dragon Age ran by EA. Ironic that the names closely match. Shows just how original EA truly is. Anyways they had stated that drops were a certain percent chance and the player base started compiling the data from all their drops and what do you know the rate was far lower then what EA professed it was. Players then went to Apple and Google and showed the proof they had put together and got EA nailed to the wall in that GAME.
This is why EA is in such dire straits now because it is becoming a pattern of of shady business practice and what Google considered as abusing the player and taking advantage of the player. Apple is also following suit in this. So EA really is in danger of losing their whole app premium cash cows because in the end they were just too greedy and couldn't stop themselves. I mean it didn't help that people found out that EA had studies conducted on how to target people with addictive personalities for their games. That right there is beyond unethical and down right sickening but to EA this was seen as totally fine which shows the true colors of the company.
