Is F2P dying a slow death?
Am I the only F2P/Dolphin who feels like after a dozen or so Marque events that the game is slowly being built towards whales, thus leaving us long-dedicated F2Ps out in the cold watching the game pic...

It’s quite simple to understand. It takes FTP and casual spenders months to level toons like Sion, Nihilus, etc but these toons were extremely valuable in arena and worth the farm. And then CG says screw your hard work, we’re gonna release random marquee toon who can easily defeat a fully geared 12 team at 3* just cuz we know whales can’t help themselves and will drop $$$$ to level up all these marquee toons that have been released these last 8 months. If you can’t see the absurdity in this, you’re either a whale or an apologist.
Living in such an extreme binary world is way too restricting. Only if it were so easy to classify ppl as a whale or an apologist on this forum lol.
Unfortunatly the best and usual answer we can provide that makes it “fair” to most is - it sucks for everyone.
Spending real money gets you there faster - that’s the model. I don’t see ea ever breaking new ground to change this.
I believe what most “apologists” like myself are saying - it is possible to contend being completely ftp. Much harder. But I will say most ftp are “better” at this game because they are forced to really know the game.
