Is whaling still happening in this game?

Staples has iTunes cards on sale.
$100 card for $80.

The whaling continues with the new events.

They are out there still. There were many hostile whale posts the night of and the day after the update lol

How do you iTunes cards for this game, I have some laying around and was going to use them, but can't seem to figure out how to apply them and not my CC?

So did I. But I got to dust off my favorite beached whale images regardless. So that was fun.

Whales pay to get advantage .. Advantage really only exists at the beginning of the game and right after level caps are raised. I'm sure most server shards have at least one team that is above 75. Right now finishing all dailies every day and the 50 refreshes and occasional 100 refreshes that highest you can be right now is 74.

Whaling doesn't make f2p and dolphins angry the later a game gets. A couple levels isn't a huge difference.

Right now all the yelling is about pre-crafters, and you didn't have to be a whale to pre-craft. A lot of f2p players pre crafted as well

Just a point to all of the f2p players (and guppies like me - less than $20). You WANT whales...and you want them happy. The more they spend, the better the game should get - for all of us.

Like the old saying goes "Happy whale, happy life!".

Well, okay...it's close to that.

Whales pay a significant part of the development and maintenance costs of this game. You want whales playing if your smart. You just don't want the advantage they pay for to be game breaking, which it isn't.

With all the nerf threads, I think it's interesting, that in general people complain about advantage that hard to get toons give. Just know that every time you call for a nerf, you are building up karma that will come back to hit your team at some point. If you try to eliminate all advantage to whales, they stop spending and the game goes under. I don't think most people want that either.

There is at least one player on my server that is level 80 so I'm assuming they still exist. Just doing the daily challenges and saving up my crystals on energy refreshes I'm about 80% to level 75. I'd think it pretty absurd to be spending money on the game now, but it's their money to do with as they choose. I mean, me personally, I'd rather spend money on something meaningful.
