These decisions are made by executives who only care about Quarterly performance.

Why do we have 3 Datacon sets now per quarter instead of 2?  Execs saw the opportunity to increase Datacon revenue by 33%.

They don’t care about gameplay or fun, unless people stop spending. 

Lost 3 from my guild over the last week or so, one was a relatively small account but 2 were long term players with 12m+ accounts, plenty of time and money invested, up to date in era toons.  They just got sick of the way things are going and saw no hope they would get better.  “The game isn’t fun any more.  It’s a time suck and a money suck.” There’s more people who aren’t active daily any more, we had 10 people out of 47 who didn’t deploy in TB last phase.  CG doesn’t communicate well, not that they ever have, but it’s particularly bad now with so many people losing interest.  I’m not sure I’d say it’s their wish to kill off SWGOH but at least if it was they’d finally be good at something.

They're certainly slowly killing my enthusiasm for the game. I've more or less just skipped my gac matches a few times over the last few weeks because I just wasn't feeling it. Not finishing my dailies all the time anymore. Those are both things I haven't done at all pretty much since the game dropped. I literally sat in the hospital playing a gac offense while my wife was in labor last year. Just during the down time of the labor mind you, but just to demonstrate my dedication to it in the past. I'm finding I just don't care as much anymore, and that's definitely linked directly to some of these recent choices they're making. There were a thousand ways they could have implemented change to attract new players without burning the rest of us. They're just bad devs. Easily the worst dev team of any game I've ever played. 

CG was not looking to “off” their game. They wanted to milk it and create a new system to attract new whales and players with their new system.  The folks with 1.2 billion credits and 5000 KryoTech weren’t making them enough money with marquee toons.  This whole Era system was to bypass our stockpiles and create new whales willing to spend $1000 USD on new Eras every three months.  They created FOMO and gave Zero or faulty info about the new system and then moved the goal posts to again create FOMO and drive spending.  14 of my guild haven’t logged in since Nov, I suspect it’s a lot like that for many guild across the shards.  It will be interesting to see where the game lands once Mando and Grogu movie drop and May 4th Annvy.
