You've got your origins slightly wrong. Revan wasnt seduced due to a desire for power. Vitiate specializes in dominating minds. Revan had visions of the sith home world that lured him to vitiate and vitiate dominated his mind and forced him to attack the republic as a test because vitiate wanted to destroy the Republic. Revan was too powerful and inadvertently half broke the domination. So he remained sith but was no longer under Vitiate's control. You got everything else... correct enough I suppose.
