Why is telling people to calm down offensive to you? Genuinely baffled, I might have expected a different kind of response from you, but not this?

I’m from the UK and the word you used has very negative connotations here. When you learned about these, did you only remove it because someone else took offence?
On topic: the Star Wars community -in particular the online Star Wars community - will frequently overreact to pretty much anything. Telling them to calm down is like telling the ocean to not be wet.
As someone also from the UK, I was unaware of its more negative implications.
And of course I only removed it because others were offended. If others didn’t find it offensive, there’d be no reason to remove it.
There seem to be a lot more ppl who hide behind the anonymity of the internet and just look for ways to put others down to make themselves feel important. Being respectfully helpful is a rarity it seems now.
