Why not have it open all day with a cooldiwn in between battles and the same rewards. Get a job and you'll understand.

And how exactly are you playing more than someone who spends money on the game? Generally speaking in most cases the people consistently spending money play more than you since they have more stuff to do like levelling characters, gearing them, farming them, modding them. Maybe it's just me who sees it this way.

Personally I got a Job that allow me to go to bathroom, take a 2 minutes challenge and go back to my chair.
I understand there are a LOT of jobs that can't permit this kind of scheduled breaks, but whenever I've lost a flash event I didn't riot in the forum.

Who's rioting? I have given a viable second option to the flash event and you people are acting like I stole something from you. I can take my phone out of my pocket at work almost anytime throughout the day. It just doesn't make sense to entice people to log in for 2 minutes at a time while at work, or during any event of significance for that matter, when it could be accomplished throughout the day at the players leisure without hurting anyone's ability to enjoy the event and it's rewards.

Your viable option missed the point of Flash events, they aren't designed for you or me who play every day around a work schedule. They are designed to get people who wouldn't normally log in to play more. The first win rewards make it really worthwhile, but after that they were not amazing and mostly gave me stuff I have hundreds of.

The behavioural element flash events are trying to drive are clearly not in the player base's long term interest to encourage

Are you guys forgetting that these flash events came after GG was boasting the highest avg minutes played per day per user? This was obviously an attempt to increase average minutes played per day per user by having the flash events in the times were the lowest usage of the app was going on

It's simple anything that gives a player something no matter how small should be available to the entire player base.

By having half of the flash events during standard work hours stops some people taking part.

All the players who can do them all obviously see themselves getting a small edge and want to keep doing them.

Those who can't do them all see themselves losing something and want them not to come back.

Myself I would prefer the devs to work on content everyone can take part in and enjoy.
